We have learned to fall in love with the small things. A long walk along the cliffs of Oyambre, a glass of natural wine after a long shoot, a record found at a flea market in San Vicente. When we are not photographing, you'll probably find us cooking something slow, planning a trip, or arguing about which Wong Kar-wai film is the most romantic.

Irina is the one chasing the movement, the digital second body, and the moments that escape from the corner of the eye. Álvaro is the eye behind the medium format and most of the film cameras — patient, slow, in love with grain and natural light. We met a long time ago, fell in love with photography at the same time as we fell in love with each other, and we have been documenting other people's stories ever since we figured out our own.
Irina es la que persigue el movimiento, el segundo cuerpo digital y los momentos que se escapan por el rabillo del ojo. Álvaro es el ojo detrás del medio formato y de la mayoría de las cámaras analógicas — paciente, lento, enamorado del grano y de la luz natural. Nos conocimos hace mucho tiempo, nos enamoramos de la fotografía a la vez que nos enamoramos el uno del otro, y desde que descubrimos nuestra propia historia, no hemos parado de documentar la de los demás.
Working as a duo means two perspectives, two cameras, and two pairs of hands — but a single way of seeing. We also have a small dog called Nube who comes with us almost everywhere. Sometimes she is in the background of the photos. We don't mind.
Trabajar en pareja significa dos miradas, dos cámaras y cuatro manos — pero una sola forma de ver. También tenemos una perrita que se llama Nube y que nos acompaña casi a todas partes. A veces aparece de fondo en las fotos. No nos importa.

Contratamos a Irina y a Álvaro en nuestra boda fuera de Madrid. El trato fue excepcional desde el primer momento, nos reunimos con ellos días antes de la boda para conocernos un poquito mejor. Fue feeling a primera vista. Nos lo pusieron todo muy fácil. El día de la boda fue mágico gracias a ellos, su profesionalidad, su cercanía, su trato humano. Saben captar perfectamente la esencia de los novios y de la boda, todo con naturalidad. Sin duda, la mejor experiencia que he tenido. Los recomiendo al 200%.
We hired Irina and Álvaro for our wedding outside of Madrid. The treatment was exceptional from the very first moment — we met them a few days before the wedding to get to know each other a little better. It was a connection at first sight. They made everything so easy. The wedding day was magical thanks to them: their professionalism, their warmth, their human touch. They perfectly capture the essence of the couple and of the wedding, all with such naturalness. Without a doubt, the best experience I've ever had. I recommend them 200%.

Their work speaks for itself. A very natural style, no posing — they truly photograph and film what is happening on that beautiful day. We loved the work they did both for our wedding and our pre-wedding shoot. As people they are amazing — we clicked with them right away and had such a great time by their side. We hope to cross paths with them again, because they are a 10 both as people and as professionals.
Álvaro es el que hace el vídeo. Tiene un TDAH que ha decidido no medicar y que con los años le ha llevado a sitios raros: cubrió un par de meses la guerra en Siria cuando tenía veintitrés y otro año pasó mes y medio en casa de un jugador del Arsenal en Londres, grabando un documental que nunca se estrenó.
Cuando no está en una boda le puedes encontrar en la playa de Gerra al atardecer o probando una cámara analógica por algún camino de Oyambre. Es el que se acuerda de los nombres de todos el lunes siguiente.
Álvaro is the one shooting video. He has ADHD he's chosen not to medicate, and over the years it's taken him to strange places: a couple of months covering the war in Syria when he was twenty-three, and another year at an Arsenal player's flat in London, spending a month and a half shooting a documentary that never came out.
When he's not at a wedding you can find him on Gerra beach at sunset or trying out an analog camera on some path in Oyambre. He's the one who remembers everyone's name the following Monday.
Irina es la mirada rápida. Lleva la cámara digital todo el día, la que dispara mientras Álvaro carga un carrete o espera a que se abra una ventana. Le importa el gesto y las esquinas que nadie fotografía.
Antes de dedicarse a esto era publicista en Madrid, y algo de esa mirada al detalle se le sigue notando en las bodas. En casa es la que se acuerda de las cosas.
Irina is the quick eye. She carries the digital body all day, shooting while Álvaro loads a fresh roll or waits for a window to open. She cares about gesture and the corners nobody photographs.
Before this she worked in advertising in Madrid, and something of that attention to detail still shows up in her wedding work. At home she's the one who remembers things.
